CHRISTMAS 2023 AT THE SWAN

 

During the festive season we will be open as usual for lunch and dinner. If you are looking for the office party, company dinner or just having an evening out with friends...we are all at your service to make sure you have a great time!

 

LUNCH OR DINNER

 APPETISERS

The Swan's pork and madeira pate with toasted bloomer bread and a zesty red onion marmalade.

Grilled smoked mackerel fillet on a chive potato salad with balsamic glaze.

Grilled halloumi, lightly dusted cajun coated halloumi cheese on a bed of sweet chilli dressed leaves.

Spiced winter vegetable soup with crispy parmesan and herb crumbs.

Trio of succulent chicken lollipops in a sherry and b.b.q.glaze.

MAIN COURSES

Traditional roast turkey with a cranberry, sage and onion stuffing, pigs in blankets, roasted new potatoes and a rich merlot pan gravy.

Roasted shank of lamb,  with roasted new potatoes and a redcurrant and mint pan gravy.

Steamed basa fillet filled with prawns and crayfish on crushed potatoes with a white wine pesto cream sauce.

Mediterranean vegetable and butterbean pie served  with creamy mashed potatoes, peas and vegetarian gravy.

Panfried breast of local pheasant served with a rich red wine, smoked bacon, mushroom and shallot gravy served with roasted new potatoes.

Poached pear with raspberry fruit coulis and raspberry ripple ice cream.

To continue offering the very best in food and service we ask that all parties pre-order their meals at least 7 days in advance.

Your booking will only be confirmed on receipt of a non-refundable deposit of £15 per person on a first come first served basis. A discretionary 10% service charge will be added to all large parties of 6 or more, which, should you feel the quality of service justifies, will go straight to your server.

T's and C's - A non-refundable £25 per person deposit is required for all Christmas day bookings at the time of booking. Full payment is then required by Decmber 8th. All Christmas day parties are required to provide a pre-order on food by Decmber 8th at the very latest!!!
